Innately curious, infants and toddlers love to explore, investigate, and discover—making the earliest years a perfect time to begin teaching the foundations of STEM.

 The Olive Tree Mathematics Program introduces children to a range of essential math concepts, including understanding numbers and using them for basic operations like addition, subtraction, division, and, in the higher levels, multiplication. We incorporate everyday tools like telling time, recognizing ages, addresses, phone numbers, and activities like cooking and measuring to make math relatable and practical. Through engaging activities and hands-on exploration, our students develop foundational math skills that will support their learning journey well into their elementary years. 

 At Olive Tree Academy, we’re passionate about fostering a love for books in young children! We encourage them to feel confident and at ease with books, learning to turn pages carefully and follow the flow of a story. Each classroom has a cozy reading corner with comfy, child-sized chairs and soft cushions, creating an inviting space that naturally draws children in to explore the colorful, captivating illustrations within each storybook.

Throughout the day, teachers engage children with picture books for oral storytelling, sparking curiosity and introducing new vocabulary. This approach also shows children that they can enjoy the richness of stories without needing to read the printed words. Additionally, our teachers use finger plays, nursery rhymes, and chants, helping toddlers and preschoolers develop important skills, from social interaction and listening to memory, language expression, and understanding new concepts.

At Olive Tree Academy, dramatic play and creative arts give children the freedom to imagine, express, and explore. Through role-play, art, music, and movement, children develop language, social skills, confidence, and emotional awareness in a natural, play-based way.

Our thoughtfully designed dramatic play areas encourage children to act out real-life experiences, build relationships, and practice problem-solving. In our creative arts program, children explore a variety of open-ended materials, focusing on the creative process rather than the final product.

These experiences support self-expression, creativity, fine and gross motor development, and a lifelong love of learning.
